Dawgs drop second straight
ASSUMPTION -- For
the second day in a row the Saint Teresa Bulldogs failed to execute in
big situations. The Bulldogs fell to Central A&M 10-4 Tuesday.
Tony Glosser (1-1) started
his second game of the year. Glosser made a limited number of mistakes
but the Raiders took advantage of every one, as good teams do. Glosser
gave up two homeruns, 10 hits, 5 walks in six innings. Glosser did not
pitch as well as he liked it but he battled through his troubles. Multiple
times in the game Glosser got the pitch to get out of the inning but either
the defense behind him would let him down or the ball would fall just right
to continue the inning.
The Raiders scored 9 of their
ten runs with two outs. The Bulldogs scored all four of their runs in the
fourth inning, cutting the lead to 5-4. Central A&M blew the game open
once again with two outs in the fourth. This was the first of three meetings
between these teams (April 12 @ Busch Stadium, St. Louis, and April 20
@ Saint Teresa)
The Bulldogs will play again
Thursday night. It will be their second home game. They will host the visiting
South
Piatt High School @ 4:30. Hope to see you there. Come Support the TEAM!
