Bulldogs split twin bill with Rockets

GAME 1
ROCHESTER -- The Bulldogs came back from a four run deficit, to pick up the teams 8th victory of the young season. A key sixth inning rally keyed the Bulldogs 8-5 victory.

Junior pitcher Tony Glosser struggled early allowing 5 runs in the first 3 innings. Glosser settled in nicely shutting down the Rockets and allowing the Bulldog bats to come alive and pick up the victory.

And come alive did they. In the sixth inning the Bulldogs were down 5-1 before a 5 run rally put the Bulldogs into the lead. Daniel Wayne tied the game at 5 with a two out 2-run double. The Bulldogs took the lead with a Matt Dilbeck single.

Glosser threw strikes and the defense made the plays in the sixth and seventh, to hold on to a come back 3-run win. The final score ended up 8-5 in the Bulldogs favor.

GAME 2

The second game was filled with missed opportunities and the Bulldogs did not make key plays in the 7-4 loss. Junior pitcher Chris Burns struggled throughout his 2 2/3 innings in the rain and wind. Burns did not recieve the best defensive effort the Bulldogs put out this season.

Sophomore Sean Highley came in and finished the pitching duties for the Bulldogs. Saint Teresa only managed 4 runs in the seven innings of play. The fianl scored ended 7-4, in the Rockets favor.
