Cross-town rivals shutout Bulldogs

DECATUR -- Matt Hall and the cross-town MacArthur Generals came to Saint Teresa Monday. The Bulldog bats went cold and didn't take advantage of any opportunities. The Generals jumped out to a second inning lead and never looked back, dropping the Bulldogs 9-0 on their home turf.

Jordan Spurlock drove in MacArthurs first run in the second with a two out drive to left center field. That was all the Generals needed behind the pitching of Junior Matt Hall.

"I feel that our guys executed well in the game.  Our defense was dependable and our bats came alive.  The  Bulldogs gave us a good game though, they will be a tough team in their conference," Hall said of the game.

The Bulldogs take the fieldTuesday in Assumption vs. Central A&M at 4:15. Hope to see you there!
